In Community

We are a church right in the heart of the community of Morden and as part of our worship to God we seek out ways to get to know and support our local community through various groups and activities

An opportunity to meet with other Christians, each one is different but at the heart of each is a desire to help one another follow Jesus. Some focus on bible study and some on just being together.

Prayer

Prayer helps us to listen to God and to bring our heart felt needs to him. We gather to pray in various ways, there is a fortnightly evening meeting, a monthly day both praying for the church and a weekly group that prays for Zimbabwe.

Landscaped garden at morden baptist church

The Garden

With support from Merton Council we have developed a garden space for everyone to use beside the church. It’s full of beautiful flowers and benches perfect for those that want a quiet space from the hubbub of the high street or a sunny spot to eat lunch. It is maintained by a faithful team who tend it each week and ongoing financial support comes from a monthly Garden Cafe held on a Fridays.

Merton
Street Pastors

On Friday nights and some afternoons, volunteers go out from Morden Baptist and many different local churches to patrol the streets of Wimbledon, Mitcham and Morden. Motivated by the love of Jesus and our community, we look to care for people, to listen to people and to help people.
